A flashbang, or stun grenade, is a non-lethal device that detonates with a blinding flash and a deafening bang, overwhelming the senses without shrapnel. Police and military breach teams use it to take a room before the people inside can react.

This is newer ground for GTA’s throwable kit, and a clear Trailer 2 sighting puts it at high confidence. Exactly how it affects enemies, and whether players can be caught in the blast, are still unconfirmed. Either way it buys you the half-second that decides whether a room is yours or theirs.
