About
Vice City is the main urban setting of Grand Theft Auto VI and the beating heart of the state of Leonida. A modern reimagining of Miami, it trades in beaches, nightlife, art-deco strips and neon, the same coastal fantasy that made the original Vice City a fan favorite.
This is where the story of Jason and Lucia gets loud: a sun-bleached metropolis where money, music and crime all run together. Its neighborhoods stretch from the beaches and art-deco hotels of Ocean Beach to Cuban and Haitian enclaves inland, drawing on real Miami areas such as South Beach, Little Havana and Little Haiti. A busy international airport and a cruise-ship port round out the city.
Vice City has anchored both GTA 6 trailers, the December 2023 reveal and Trailer 2 in May 2025, and remains the centerpiece players are most eager to explore at the November 19, 2026 launch.
