Story
Jason Duval is one of the two playable protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI, the male half of the duo at the heart of the story alongside Lucia Caminos.
He grew up around grifters and small-time crooks, and a stint in the Army was meant to put his troubled youth behind him. Instead he drifted back to the Leonida Keys and into the work he knows best, running errands for local drug dealers. What he really wants is a quieter, easier life, even as it keeps slipping further out of reach.
His world runs through a small circle of associates. He stays rent-free at a property owned by veteran smuggler Brian Heder in return for muscle on local jobs, and counts the reclusive, conspiracy-obsessed Cal Hampton among his few real friends. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Lucia. Their relationship could be his way out or the thing that drags him under, and that push and pull drives much of what Rockstar has shown so far.
Jason first appeared in the original GTA 6 reveal trailer in December 2023 and returned in Trailer 2 in May 2025. Much of his arc is still under wraps ahead of the November 19, 2026 launch.
